Cozy Cosmos
NOTE: the PC build is recommended for the best play experience!
the music on the HTML5 version is a bit broken. songs do not cut off when they should resulting in several overlapping tracks at the same time. this is unfortunately an issue with the game engine's exporter and i have no idea how to fix it. if you do only play this version, please give the soundtrack a listen on youtube (link below) so you can hear how wonderful it actually is!
also it has come to our attention that some antivirus software may think the game contains a virus. this seems to be an issue with all games made with GameMaker. i can assure you it is safe to run and there are no viruses in the game files.
the game isn't 100% finished, but the core gameplay is mostly there and there's some sense of a story to it... i think. thanks for taking time to check it out!

Does this have an ending? I know it's not 100% finished but all I've managed to do is enter a portal, shoot aliens and collect.....things. No idea what else to do so I got bored...
This game does not a anywhere a decent job of telling you what to do. I figured out I was supposed to be collecting furniture for my lounge but there's no indication of progress. Just that it's not finished.
Is there anything else in the sky besides the one portal? Why bother with one in the first place? You could wander the sky for ages with no idea what to do.
The arrows point to enemies and to the portal but that's not the goal afaik.
What are the coins for btw?
It's a pity because the art and music and nice and the gameplay is...okay. I don't like the awkward 8-direction shooting but the game is quite forgiving, so I'll let it slide.
I got back once more to find all the furniture gone bar a wide TV cabinet and the character said time to watch TV but the game didn't end. I gave up after that.
That's when I found it didn't save my progress either.
yeah, like it says in the description, this is an unfinished jam game. it has a sort of ending, but it’s definitely not worth it. just a different message when you go back to your house. i think there are like a dozen pieces of furniture to collect, which in hindsight was way too many for how little gameplay i got done. coins don’t do anything but make a sound when you collect them. thanks for playing!
Unbelievably charming. Loved the couch-riding vibe !
thank you! glad you enjoyed it.
You mention the things you didn't get done in your game write up, but you didn't talk about all the things you nailed. I absolutely love the way it starts with the dreamy music and the couch begins to drift. The game has emotion right out of the gate. I like it a lot!
thanks so much! HyphenPixel (musician) and mellbells18 (artist) really did amazing stuff for this game. i wish i could have gotten more coded to do their work justice.
